A quick house tour...

I took some pictures of the house after work today.

A little history: the house was built in 1951. We're only the second owners - the previous owners were originally from Michigan too!

Here's a quick shot of the garage in the backyard:

Now the inside... please excuse the mess! Still unpacking/organizing/cleaning/etc/etc/etc. This is the front room (I still have to get those brackets off the walls - they were holding up some outdated padded valances, which had to go!)

The kitchen is sort of set up like the one at the Reimer Ranch (except there's a closet where the fridge would go). There is a sidedoor at the far left, and an eat-in area at the near right.

The downstairs bath is the first room to be "finished" (didn't need a whole lot of work, just a good cleaning and a trip to Target):

Finally got all my "freebies" organized in these fabric cubes:

We're using the largest bedroom on the first floor as our bedroom (though we hope to move upstairs after some remodeling):

There's one more bedroom downstairs, which is a guest room/office right now, but it's really messy and still looking pretty dirty (we really need to paint it) so I left that out.

The upstairs landing has become a catch-all for now. I want to build bookshelves along the angled wall, and hook up the Super Nintendo here at some point...

Bedroom #3 upstairs - Dan (our summer house guest) is using it as his violin room :)

Bedroom #4 may become the master bedroom at some point (we are thinking about moving the wall a few feet into bedroom #3) Dan has his computer set up in here for now.

This is the 2nd floor bath, which needs somework. Again, Dan is using this.
